Scott and Abbie chose an elegant and classy Skyline Club wedding in Indianapolis.
They met the winter of their freshman year at Purdue University at a Jersey Shore themed frat party– as Abbie said, “The classiest way any two people can meet :)!” She was basically shoved into him, they started dancing, and he told her his name was Scott. Abbie thought that was a little odd since her dad’s name was Scott too, but at the end of the night, she kissed him and ran away.
After the party, Scott was mad at himself because he didn’t ask for her number, but ironically, the next night Abbie went to a different party with a different set of friends and SCOTT WAS THERE! She took it as a sign.
They dated through college and wondered what their future would bring. Abbie wanted to go to UC Davis because she loved plant pathology and their program was first in the nation, but California was a long way from home– and Scott. They always took the “if it’s meant to be, it will be” approach. And I bet you can guess how this story ends…
Scott got an internship and subsequent job offer at Intel in Folsom, California, about 45 minutes from UC Davis where Abbie was accepted at the end of their Senior year.
If it’s meant to be, it will be!
Abbie had the honor of wearing this cameo ring as her “something old.” It was originally Scott’s great grandfather’s. His grandmother, great aunt, mother, and two aunts all wore it on their wedding days!
