A Wabash Presbyterian Church wedding. Charley Creek Gardens portraits. A Honeywell Center wedding reception. Josh and Emily’s Wabash wedding day was delightful.

I had the privilege of photographing Josh and Emily’s senior pictures when they were graduating from high school so when they contacted me about their wedding, I was thrilled. It’s such a privilege to be included in so many of life’s milestones.

The Couple

Josh and Emily are runners. At a high school track meet five years ago, Josh introduced himself to the cute, fast girl from the opposing school. She was almost 15 and he was almost 17. They started dating soon thereafter. They’ve grown up together, sharing so many of life’s experiences while falling more in love each year.

As Troy was reflecting on our work for the day, he summarized, “They’re just so comfortable together.” He’s right. There’s an ease about them. They’re comfortable. They’re confident. And they’re a lot of fun!

Here’s a glimpse of their special day!

This College Wesleyan Church wedding made me grin from ear to ear. Let me explain why: About three years ago, I decided to jump back in to senior photography and had a spokesmodel program for students to advertise my work. I featured seven students from four different schools and had such a fabulous time getting to know them. Mickey and Austin represented The Kings Academy, but they were just friends at the time.

While taking their senior photos, Troy and I quickly discovered they’re extremely photogenic and naturals in front of the camera. They’re beautiful people inside and out.

The Couple

Mickey and Austin grew up attending the same small private school. She always had a secret crush on him, but they were also just good friends. Their senior year, they played Cinderella and Prince Charming in the school play. Seriously. I love that part of their story. Soon after graduating, Austin realized Mickey was his best friend and the rest is history. I must admit, when I saw them in the church parking lot soon after they started dating, I just knew there would be a wedding someday.

So imagine how thrilled I was to get a message from Austin, explaining that he would be proposing soon and asking me to hold their wedding date! It was a privilege to document this day.

The Wedding Portraits

Austin and Mickey, we’re thrilled for you. Blessings on your marriage and life together!

A Neidhammer Wedding. Modern, romantic, classy. That’s how Carli described their wedding and we’d have to agree.

The Wedding

Neidhammer is a new wedding venue in Indianapolis. I had the chance to visit the space at an event with other Indy creatives a few months ago, and it’s such a gorgeous place! It includes a coffee shop, hard cidery, a co-work space, and an event venue. I think we’ll be seeing a lot more of Neidhammer in the future!

Caleb and Carli were engaged on the canal in Indy. They were engaged on the canal, had their engagement pictures on the canal, and wanted their first look on the canal too. It was a beautiful Saturday of race weekend in Indy. The whole downtown had such an energy. There were many things to celebrate– including this beautiful marriage!
