Greg and Bridget | Woodstock Club Wedding | Traci and Troy

May 23, 2019

Religious. Elegant. Sophisticated. Sentimental. These are the words Bridget used to describe their St. Luke Catholic Church and Woodstock Club wedding, and I couldn’t have said it better myself.

The Couple

“This love story begins as all great love stories do – two Boilermakers met and fell in love. Well… okay, maybe not love at first sight. Bridget and Greg met their first week at Purdue and became friends. They got to know each other over ice cream, sorority/fraternity functions, mass at St. Tom’s, and cheering on the Purdue football team (which took tremendous commitment).

Fast forward to graduation… Bridget moved back to Indianapolis, while Greg took a job in Ohio. The distance gave them a reason to take weekend adventures all over the country to visit family and friends. They can’t pinpoint the exact moment they wanted to spend the rest of their lives together, but it was a feeling that had grown in their hearts over time. After two years of long distance, Greg made Indy his home and their romance became a forever love.

The Wedding:

Their vision was simple. They wanted to create an elegant wedding that tied in the Lily of the Valley and the Blessed Mother Mary for the month of May. Most details and decisions about the wedding day were chosen because of their sentimentality. Bridget attended Saint Luke Catholic Church since she was a little girl. The Lily of the Valley in her bouquet and Greg’s boutonniere were hand picked from her family’s home garden. The bouquet was wrapped in a strip from her mother’s wedding dress, a Saint Michael medal, her childhood rosary, and a picture of her dad. Her something blue was a piece of her dad’s navy “party” shirt, cut into a heart and sewn into her dress. Greg’s cuff links were his grandfather’s. Navy bridesmaid dresses were chosen because blue is the color of Mary. Three buttons from her mom’s wedding dress were delicately sewn onto hers…
Watch for these items of significance as you view some of our favorites from their wedding day!
