When Lauren contacted me about their Indianapolis LDS Temple Wedding, I was thrilled! It’s such a beautiful place with immaculate grounds!
“David and I met through our service missions for our church (Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints) in Mexico. After we both came home from our missions we didn’t start talking until we were both going to college in Utah. We first started talking and connecting more once we found out that our dad’s have the same birthday. That was our conversation starter for us to become friends and then start dating. He proposed in Chicago on November 22 after we went to watch “A White Christmas” on broadway in the Cadillac Palace.”
“We chose to get married in Indy because of the temple. We’ve always planned to get married in a temple together, because in a civil marriage you get married “until death do we part,” but in the temple we get married for this life and for forever (in the life after this one we will still be married and be Mr. and Mrs. Solorzano). There were lots of happy tears once we were pronounced husband and wife (we’re both criers).
David’s family didn’t hesitate about making the 26 hour drive from their home! Since none of them speak fluent English, it was a little bit amusing trying to communicate between our two families. There was mostly bonding between our two families through smiles, tears of joy, and simply knowing that we are all now family :)”
I think you’ll see the complete joy radiating from David and Lauren in their wedding portraits!
Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Solorzano! Blessings on you and your marriage!
