Jack and Savannah wanted an engagement session with flowers and sidewalks and we found it! When I first stepped out of my car on this beautiful evening, I heard “I Can’t Help Falling in Love with You” echoing through the parking garage. We didn’t know it, but we had planned our session at the same time as Carmel’s Jazz on the Monon! Although we had the challenge of navigating around concert-goers, hearing the music throughout the session was so awesome and definitely an engagement session I will always remember!
Let’s learn more about Jack and Savannah in their own words…
How we met:
“I met Jack on my first trip to Evanston in 2012 when I was considering transferring to Northwestern. My future volleyball teammates took me to meet some friends on campus, and Jack and I ended up talking for a while. A few months later, I moved to Evanston. When Jack returned for fall quarter, we instantly recognized each other. After a few weeks of not-so-accidentally running into each other, we went on our first date for ice cream. Even now, it’s still our favorite dessert spot (for the memories and the frozen custard)!”
“Savannah visited Evanston for the weekend and we went out for brunch on Friday morning. It was a sunny spring day with a lingering winter chill, and I suggested that we go for a walk to work off our pancakes and omelets.
Unknown to Savannah, I had a route in mind that would take us past a number of places in Evanston that were important to us: where we met, where we had our first date, our old apartments, where we celebrated one year of dating. When we reached a secluded spot on a riverbank, I proposed, and she said yes! We dressed up for dinner at one of our favorite restaurants and spent the weekend celebrating in downtown Chicago.”
Here are a few of my favorites!
